M.S. Howells & Co. is a boutique institutional broker-dealer based in Scottsdale, Arizona. M.S. Howells & Co. services a select group of institutional and corporate clients, providing them with research, trading, prime brokerage, hedge fund infrastructure and investment banking services. Additionally, the firm offers a wide variety of specialized client services including soft dollar arrangements, a direct market access trading platform, and outsourced trade desk services.

M.S. Howells & Co. provides prime brokerage and hedge fund formation services to both established funds and start up funds. Select clients use prime brokerage services provided by Jefferies & Company, Inc. while retaining M.S. Howells & Co. as an executing broker. In addition, the firm provides assistance to experienced managers launching new funds by providing expert advice and referring clients to the appropriate administrators, legal counsel, and accounting professionals.

M.S. Howells & Co. was founded by Mark S. Howells who began his career in the industry in 1981 as a clerk in back office operations. After learning all aspects of operations, he proceeded in to sales as a registered representative. He then advanced to a Branch Manager position of a regional brokerage firm. After the market decline of 1987 he decided the timing was right to start a firm that focused on providing sterling service to its customers. The experience and dedication that is so evident through out the firm today is a true testament to all the people who make up the M. S. Howells & Co. family.

The firm caters to clients and corporations of all sizes with assets under management ranging from less than $1 million to greater than $1 billion. Clients of the firm are located throughout the United States.
