Michael Johnson, CFA is the Chief Market Strategist at M.S. Howells & Co. Michael was previously a Director in the Credit Strategy Research Group at
Banc of America and the Director of High Yield and High Grade Credit and Derivative Strategy Research at BNP Paribas in New York.
His responsibilities included covering specific companies and structured transactions, developing fixed income indices and analytical platforms,

expectations within the fixed income and equity markets. This approach has allowed Michael to structure various trades within a specific company’s
capital structure. Michael has also held senior positions researching, underwriting, and structuring multiple types of asset-backed securities.
He received his MBA in 1996 and his CFA in 2000 while accumulating almost 15 years of investment experience.
