Portfolio Reporting:
Clients are provided with Advent Axys, a portfolio management, reporting,
and accounting tool provided by Jefferies & Company, Inc. Prime Brokerage clients can view
historical account activity, profit and loss data, and performance files. Data files for third parties such as
accountants and administrators can also be generated. M.S. Howells & Co. provides
Prime Brokerage
clients with software developed by Pertrac to facilitate statistical analyses of portfolio
performance.
Securities Lending: Jefferies & Company, Inc. has access to over $1 trillion in foreign and
domestic securities. The online stock locator allows clients to obtain locates on easy to
borrow stocks.
Portfolio Reporting
Prime Brokerage clients of M.S. Howells & Co. have the ability to easily view account
activity online using account statements and trade confirmations.
The firm provides Advent Axys, an industry-leading portfolio management, reporting,
and accounting solution, for hedge funds requiring more detailed reporting.
Axys supports the CFA Institute’s AIMR-compliant presentation of performance measurement and reporting.

- Details the cost basis, market value, and unrealized gain or loss

Gains and Losses
- Calculates the realized gains and losses for each security within
a selected time period. Gains and Losses are subtotaled by short-term
and long-term securities.

Summary
- Lists all transactions within a given time period, or optionally,
for a specific security within a given time period.

and Sale
- Lists all purchases, sales, short sales, short covers, adjusted

Management Reports
Assets Under
Management
- Lists a summary of the market values of all accounts under management.
Use this report when you want a summary of the market value of several
portfolios without a listing of the individual securities in each
portfolio.

Multi-Security Cross Reference
- Shows which portfolio's hold a given security, quantity held,
cost basis, market value, and unrealized gain or loss.
- Cash
Ledger
- Shows activity in a portfolio's Cash Account during a given time
period. You can list cash transactions for all accounts or for one
specific account.

Performance
- Summarizes performance of an individual portfolio between two
dates, and calculates the internal rate of return for that period
specified.

- Shows the gain or loss for each security during a given date range.
This report is useful for ERISA reporting, and for comparison with
performance reports.

Reconciliation
- Details a portfolio's activity between two dates. Showing the
flow of funds between securities and other assets, gains and losses
broken down by security, income earned by each security, and the
internal rate of return (IRR) for each security type.

Soft Dollar Arrangements
M.S. Howells & Co. offers hedge funds and money managers the ability to
create soft dollar arrangements in order to finance expenses for
the benefit of the fund including research, quotation equipment,
periodicals, and other services. While reviewing soft dollar
arrangements, M.S. Howells & Co. recommends that our
institutional clients examine their current trading
relationships in order to evaluate whether they are currently
receiving trading flexibility and the best trade execution
services. When entering a soft dollar relationship with
M.S. Howells & Co. you will receive a detailed monthly accounting of
activity and balances in your soft dollar account.
